Trocal
In 1954 Trocal launched its first series-produced plastic window on the market and it had already developed its window profiles with a circumferential middle seal in different colours by the 1970s. The company from Troisdorf declared sustainability as its main priority and aimed to reach significant progress in recycling plastic windows and the use of recycled plastic materials. Many of the production processes obtained better heat insulation of the plastic windows and doors produced, but at the same time, the great contemporary design potential for architects and building owners remained of main importance. As a result, Trocal offers a wide range of colours and surface textures. One of the mainstays of the company are the window profiles, which combine aluminium and plastic in an intelligent way. An aluminium shell reinforces the constructive stability and serves as weather protection while the plastic components take care of the excellent insulation performance of the profiles. The holding company of Trocal -Profine has sites in 20 different countries all over the world as far away as India and China and delivers its products to more than 70 countries.
The company emerged from the partition of the chemical factory from Karl Kömmerling in Pirmasens, which was producing adhesives, in 1897.
Schüco
Schüco windows were considered as unsustainable products for a very long time. However, this negative prejudice shows lack of knowledge of the history of the company. Schüco is one of the first, most successful and biggest windows profiles producers from PVC, metal and aluminium, window fittings and further products for windows and facade engineering. In addition, it is part of the overarching body of the Otto Fuchs group on a worldwide level which has various aluminium profiles, building automation products, ventilation systems and building-integrated photovoltaics. The company was founded 1951 in Porta Westfalica by Heinz Schürmann and originally, it functioned as a metalworking company. At the beginning, their main production consisted of windows and facade systems from wood, aluminium and other metals.
In the 1970s PVC products were included in the portfolio and in the 1980s the company developed window profiles which made the current success of plastic windows possible. Nowadays Schüco delivers its PVC and metal profiles for window constructions to companies in over 80 countries worldwide.
The current main seat of the company is in Bielefeld.

Two of the most representative projects which were implemented with profiles from Gutmann are the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Elbe Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg. Gutmann produced its first coupled window from aluminium and wood back in 1976. Currently, we are offering an improved version of these same windows. The wide range of variants allow for the possibility of appearance and constructive adjustment to the architectural parameters of buildings.
