PSK doors - wide door opening and bright light incidence
You should decide upon PSK door when you wish to have a wide door opening. Also, it allows you to have a wide glass front without any interruptions. There is a much larger width possible compared to swing doors or the unique segments of folding doors. In this way, it is possible to design a much wider glass front towards your garden or terrace with only one post in the middle. The half of the glass is installed for me and the other half can be pushed over the firm glass front. In this way, when the door is open there is a very wide opening and a wide adjacent window area. This allows plenty of light to enter into your inner space even when the door is closed. However, the dimensions of PSK doors are restricted by the weight. PSK door options
PSK doors from FENSTERNORM are produced with profiles from the companies Schüco, Trocal and Gutmann. The material options include aluminium, alu-plastic, composite, synthetic materials, wood and the combination of wood and aluminium. Every material has its own benefits and different aesthetic characteristics. The most economical option is windows made out of PVC. Nowadays, they are available in different colour and design variations. Aluminium profiles are extremely sturdy and totally maintenance free. Wood is a renewable material which makes PSK wooden doors a very ecological solution. In addition, it provides a warm and cosy atmosphere in the inside. The combination of aluminium and wood combines the benefits of both materials. Usually, wood is used on the inside to provide a cosy atmosphere and aluminium on the outside because of its easy to care character. It is also possible to provide every kind of window with an aluminium shell and make them easier to maintain.
In the case of PSK doors, you can choose between all kinds of glazing. There are double and triple glazing security glass, noise protection glass and the non-transparent ornamental and structural glass available.

Materials for PSK doors
PSK doors are produced with from materials the companies Schüco, Trocal and Gutmann. They are offered in the materials, aluminium, plastic-aluminium, wood and aluminium-wood. Every material has its own benefits and special aesthetic qualities. As always, the synthetic material option is the most advantageous one. Also, modern synthetic profiles can be delivered in different colours and designs. The aluminium profile is very durable and easy to maintain. Wood is a renewable resource and that's why wooden PSK doors are the most advantageous from an ecological point of view and in addition, they provide a very comfortable and cosy atmosphere. The combination of wood and aluminium combines both these benefits. From the inside, you have the wood with its warm appearance and you have an ecological beneficial solution. On the outside, you have the aluminium shell that is also used for plastic and aluminium windows and must not be painted.

PSK doors - security and efficiency
The modern window profile from our PSK doors can be combined with suitable glazing and energetically optimised spaces in order to reach a high level of heat insulation efficiency. There is the possibility for two or three sealing levels between the door wings and the frames. In this way, PSK doors are characterized by high tightness even when they are close. The tilting option makes the ventilation possible without entirely opening the door. This is very important in regards to security terms. If you wish, you can go for security or noise protection glass for additional security and comfort.
