Two materials in a perfect combination
Solid aluminium shells on the outside and on the inside high-quality solid wood; this combination is a well-engineered architectural solution. Wood sprays cosiness and comfort. This traditional construction material has excellent heat insulation values, looks traditional and warm. Important note: The paintwork must be renewed at regular intervals. Aluminium shelves are extremely weather resistant and protect you from snow and rain. Aluminium has a low weight, longevity and is very easy to care. It survives several decades and it's enough to wipe it with lukewarm water in order to maintain it. The combination of wood and aluminium is very efficient and in addition, the wood-aluminium windows Solid 96 are perfect for modern facade appearance and create a pleasant atmosphere in the spaces.
Excellent heat insulation and protection against burglars
The window profile Solid 96 can resist every weather influence. Unpleasant weather conditions with snow, rain, frost and freezing wind stay outside. Inside you have comfortable warmth and at the same time the aluminium wooden window Solid 96 ensures proper air circulation. The triple glazing provides even better protection from the cold which additionally helps to reduce heating costs.
The double circumferential sealings from silicone help with additional reliable heat insulation. Silicone is not only highly heat insulating but also extremely weather and temperature resistant. A further advantage of silicon seals is smooth and easy to handle locking process of window sashes. You can open the window noiselessly and with a minimum on efforts.
Thanks to special fittings the aluminium wooden window Solid 96 can be upgraded up to resistance Class 2. Even for very experienced burglars, there will be no chance to enter through such a door.
An impressive range of models and designs
The outer surface of the window can be implemented in many different RAL colours. Even the wooden look “tone in tone” isn't a problem anymore with the kinds of timber that we use. However, in order to preserve the wood on the inside on the long-term, the profiles must be processed properly. Covering watercolours or lasures are perfectly suitable. In the matter of wood coating, we trust Teknos - the leading producer of waterborne coating systems.
- Varnished wood is protected from weathering, UV radiation, humidity and parasites. The finishes from Teknos make the surfaces solid and flexible at the same time providing Longleat City high transparency and good opacity.
- A lasure is a not covering coating which preserves the wooden look. The thick layer lasures are the most used ones because they don't seal the wooden pores but provide humidity regulation instead. This protects the wood from drying out and the formation of cracks. When applying lasure to the wood you preserve its natural grain.
The window profile Solid 96 is open to many design ideas. FENSTERNORM produces aluminum wooden Windows of the type Solid 96 according to the personal wishes of the customers. You can choose between options with or without sash bars, wide window fronts and small roof windows.
FENSTERNORM produces window profiles made of weather resistant spruce wood. Spruce wood is bright, and yellowish to reddish-brown. This type of wood impresses with its marked texture and makes rooms look brighter. We have larch wood in our product range which is reddish-yellow to reddish-brown and becomes darker under the influence of light. In general, oak wood looks quite bright, its shade can vary between grey tones and reddish shades. The pine is another quite bright type of wood and it creates a welcoming atmosphere. Meranti wood is available in bright red and yellowish. Meranti scores with its nice uniform structure and overall sympathetic look.
FENSTERNORM produces with WENIG
FENSTERNORM produces aluminium wooden windows from the profile Solid 96 with the help of the most modern Technic from WEINIG. The processing with machinery from WEINIG means complete manufacturing in one cycle. This includes stripping, slitting, profiling and surround milling. All this process is time saving and doesn't require a tool change. If you don't require a window frame type of the wooden window, the profile is manufactured in the standard form (Type B).
